Were You Fooled by Fools Gold?

I was thinking about a childhood memory this evening that I'm sure many of you perhaps experienced when you were a kid. Did you ever get really excited when you found a rock that glistened and sparkled like gold? Did your ego get all puffed up as you began to convince yourself you had struck gold? Suddenly you're about to jump up and down with exuberance as you realize what you found.

I remember getting so excited over those few small golden rocks, thinking that I actually had found "the big one"! But, of course the excitement and giddiness over the event quickly dissolved into disappointment when an older kid or parent would then say, "Oh, you found a piece of fools gold!" and then your response was perhaps like mine, "Fools gold!" What is fools gold?" Wow! Did that ever burst the old bubble to be told I didn't hit pay dirt!

A foolish child I was to actually think I had struck gold! None the less as a kid it was still an exciting moment before learning the truth. I remember wanting so much to doubt the possibility of any such thing as "fools gold" and wanting to claim they were wrong! After all, it was such a disappointment to learn that you really haven't struck a gold mine! Does any of that bring back memories? Who put that fraudulent gold there anyhow? LOL!

Speaking of gold, what about real gold? No Sir, this is not fools gold that we're talking about now, but genuine real gold coins that as a kid you would have bragged to all the neighborhood about! As you know, real gold has always been desired by men of all ages and throughout all times in history.

Imagine if you were to hold not just one gold coin, but instead an entire handful or more of gold coins or bullion! In all ages, man has been fascinated with the beauty and magic of gold, and with its power to change men's lives. Gold coins are available for personal delivery in fractional sizes of ounce, ounce and 1/10 ounce, in units of 20 coins each. Just imagine if you were to present to your children real gold coins as an investment for their future. Even if you didn't know the difference between fools gold and real gold as a kid, you probably know that investing in real gold is never foolish, because it's always a good investment. With real gold in your hands you will quickly remember the excitement as a kid when you thought you found the real thing, but only this time there would be no disappointments, and no one shouting, "Oh, you found some fools gold!"
